A-STUDIO
Show hosted by comedian/rakugoka, Shoufukutei Tsurube and half Japanese talent, Shelly (used to be IMALU until 2011 April). They interview various famous people, mainly from the acting and musical world.






AMETALK!
Hosted by the Miyasako Hiroyuki and Hotohara Toru from the comedy duo Ameagari Kesshitai. Each a different theme is presented and a group of comedians talk about and funny episodes related to it. There are many different topics ranging from , "Comedians who can't drink alcohol", "Gundam Comedians" all the way to "Nashi Pear Loving Comedians" It's a very funny show if you give it a chance and watch. Has been aired since 2003.



ANIME-TV
A show hosted by voice actress/talent, Fujita Saki. The show interviews lots of different voice actresses and singers of anime opening and closing theme songs. Has aired since 2000.






ARASHI NI SHIYAGARE! 
Talk show hosted by popular boy group, Arashi. The theme is to invite a 'Big Brother' guest so that he can come and teach the group things. They also talk about random rumors about the guest and do various activities with them. Has been aired since 2010.




DENPA SHOUNEN!
Extremely popular reality TV show from the 90's. Featured the controversial Nasubi segment, and others such as comedians crossing accross Europe solely by hitchhiking etc.






DOMOTO KYOUDAI
Music variety show hosted by boy group, Kinki Kids. Features a regular cast of musicians as well as a guest musician. Ordinary talk show but with a live performance at the end featuring all of the members of the show. Aired between 2001~2004 and then renamed the show to 'Shin Domoto Kyoudai' (New Domoto Brothers).




DOMOTO TSUYOSHI'S SHOUJIKI SHINDOI
Show hosted by Domoto Tsuyoshi from the Kinki Kids. A very laid back style talk show that features various famous people from the entertainment industry. Usually features them playing music together or casually doing stuff in town. The show was aired between 2002~2009.





 
ENTAME ZAMURAI
A entertainment news show on Kyushu local channel. Interviews musicians that are having concerts in the area. Aired since 2010.






GAKI NO TSUKAI YA ARAHENDE!
Another show hosted by comedy giants, Downtown, along with comedy pair Cocorico and the solo Yamazaki Hosei. A very long running and popular show, it is probably most famous for it's 'batsu games' (punishment games). Popular batsu games include the "24 hour tag" game and the "24 Hour No Laughing" specials. 




HAMA-CHAN TO!
Means, 'With Hama-chan'. Hosted by Hamada Masatoshi from comedy duo Downtown. Features a famous guest and Hama-chan doing casual stuff together such as having game challenges, going on drives, walking around etc. Aired between 2003~2008.





HANERU NO TOBIRA
Variety show hosted by comedy groups, King Kong, Robert, Drunk Dragon, Houyou and Impulse. Regular corners of the show are Kirigirisu, a game where they dress up as insects and play a series of obstacle games. Also the 100 yen shop, where they must guess items that only cost 100 yen among a group that also include very expensive items. They must buy the item they choose, regardless of price. Airing since 2001.



HAPPY MUSIC

Music news show hosted by Becky. Covers recently released albums/singles, concerts and also interviews various guest musicians. Airing since 2010.






HEY! HEY! HEY! MUSIC CHAMP
Music talk show hosted by Comedy duo, Downtown. Features talks with several music artists who routinely get made fun of by the hosts. Airing since 1994.






HIRUNANDESU
A two hour variety show broadcasted during the day every weekday. The title means "It's midday". They cover a range of the latest news, with interviews with celebrities, play games and introduce food from various places. Airing since 2011.





HITOSHI MATSUMOTO'S SUBERANAI HANASHI
A show where comedians gather around a table and tell suberanai hanashi, in other words 'guranteed funny stories'. They roll a die with each members name on a side to decide who talks. Funny show. Airing since 2004.






JOUNETSU TAIRIKU
The title means "Passion Continent" and is a weekly documentary show displaying the trials and tribulations of celebrities and sometimes ordinary folk doing their work. It focuses on their passion and commitment they have at their particular occupation. Airing since 1998.




KOI NO KARASAWAGI ~MUCH ADO ABOUT LOVE~
Show hosted by comedian, Akashiya Sanma, who talks to a group of ordinary females about strange tales about their love lives. A famous guest is also invited in to discuss about their own experiences and give opinions on some of the girls stories. Aired between 1994~2010.






LINCOLN
Variety show hosted by veteran comedians, Downtown, Summers, Ameagari Kesshitai and Kyai~n (all duos). They generally do lots of games or challenges amongst themselves with punishment games (batsu games) for people that lose. Lots of physical humor, although the members are all seasoned comedians and chip in with funny comments too. Airing since 2006.






LONDON HEARTS

Variety show hosted by London Boots (Tamura Atsushi & Tamura Ryo). Famous for there pranks, rankings and gossip type stuff.





 

M-STAGE
Show that documents musicians. Aired in the mid 90's.







MECHAx2 ITEKERU!
Very popular show hosted by Ninety-Nine members, Okamura Takashi and Yabe Hiroyuki. Often (or used to) feature monkey-ish Okamura with a lot of hilarious physical humour and also lots of funny remarks etc. With age and health issue he has calmed down more now but can still be a comedic genious. Airing since 1995.


MIRACLE TYPE
Skit show hosted by Cocorico, and also starring other comedians and actors. This show has already ceased broadcasting but showcased Cocorico's talent more so than any other show.



MUSIC JAPAN
Music news show hosted by Aoi Minoru and electropop trio Perfume. Previously hosted by Sekine Mari until 2011. Features interviews with musicians promoting their latest releases. Airing since 2007.






MUSIC LOVERS
Show that interviews successful and celebrated musicians and holds a special one night mini concert. Aring since 2006.








MUSIC STATION

A very long running show hosted by Tamori. Features short talks and performances by musicians of their latest singles. Airing since 1986.






OH! DOYAGAO SUMMIT
A talk and variety show hosted by comedian Hamada Masatoshi, actor Nishimura Masahiko and talent Katase Nana. Airing since 2010.







OSHAREISM
Talk show hosted by Ueda Shinya of Cream Stew, singer/actor Fujiki Naohito and model Mori Izumi. Features famous guests and talk about random stuff. Airing since 2010.






OUSAMA NO BRUNCH
Title means "Kings Brunch". It is a day time news/variety show played on Saturdays. They feature famous guests and also do reports on recent books, music, shopping etc etc. Airing since 1996.






PIKARU NO TEIRI
Variety/ skit show hosted by young comedians including the manzai groups, Piece, Monster Engine, Haraichi and Heisei Nobushi-kobushi. Also hosted by various other people that I can't be bothered mentioning. Airing since 2011.






PROFFESIONAL -PERSPECTIVES ON WORK-
Documentary show that do reports on professional people at their work of various occupations. Manga artists, designers, sports athletes, business men, everything. Similar to Jounetsu Tairiku except that they have some interviews in a studio. Airing since 2006.





PUSMA
Variety show hosted by Kusanagi Tsuyoshi from boy group, SMAP and actor/talent Yusuke Santamaria. A laid back kind of show where they often play games. Sometimes have slightly perverted games. Airing since 2006.






SEKAI DANGAN TRAVELLER 
Travel show hosted by Nakagawa Shoko, Yamazaki Shizuyo and Sasaki Nozomi (after Rinka). Features a guest celebrity that is sent over to another country for a one night, one day holiday with a tight schedule. Airing since 2007.





SHABEKURI 007
Talk show hosted by three manzai duos, Cream Stew, Turorial and Neptune. Features one or two guests and have improvised comedy. Lots of fooling around with guests sometimes taking part in the fun. Airing since 2008.






KONICHIWA FROM STUDIO PARK
Means "Hello From Studio Park". It is a talk show filmed at NHK Studio Park which is a public touring course at the NHK Broadcasting Centre. A famous guest is invited and interviewed live for around 30 minutes. Airing since 1995.






TERRY ITO'S HOWL AT THE MOON
Talk show hosted by Terry Ito and Tominaga Miki. Guests are interviewed and allowed to 'howl' something that they would like to say to the society. So, usually has people talking about their own personal opinions on various subjects. Airing since 2011.





WARATTE IITOMO
Variety show hosted by Tamori and broadcasted live every weekday between 12:00 to 13:00. Features various games with guests and regular members of the show. Also has an interview corner called 'Telephone Shocking' where famous guests promote their recent projects and also select who the next guest will be by phoning them during the show. It is a very long running show, and has been airing since 1982.



MANZAI
